Lisa Dobriskey joined Adam Gemili and Jack Green in the Team GB athletics squad for London 2012 Olympics which was revealed on Tuesday afternoon.
The 28-year-old Ashford AC star has overcome an injury nightmare in the past 12 months, putting femur and lung problems behind her to finish second at the British Olympic Trials in Birmingham last month which ultimately won her one of three British places in the 1,500m at London.
Gemili and Green both qualified at the trials at the end of June, finishing second behind Dwain Chambers in the 100m and Dai Greene in the 400m hurdles respectively, having both set Olympic A qualifying times in the previous month.
New Romney star Dobriskey's last Olympic A qualifying time was last summer, but she was chosen by selectors thanks in large part to her pedigree, winning gold at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne in 2006, silver in the 2009 World Championships in Berlin and finishing fourth in the Olympic Final in Beijing four years ago,
Both Green, 20, and 18-year-old Gemili - the youngest member of the 71-strong Team GB track and field team - have also been named in the relay squads for the 4x400m and 4x100m respectively.
Gemilli will be 18 years and 305 days old on the day of the first round of the men's 100m on August 4, with the final the following day.
Green's 400m hurdles campaign will begin on August 3, with the final on August 6 - the same day Dobriskey's 1,500m campaign begins in the heats, with the final four days later.
