8.45pm - Ok, another long but memorable day over for me. I'll be back tomorrow to see the GB women's volleyball team try to win their opening play-off game and provide you with plenty more updates from the Greatest Show on Earth.

8.30pm - Stephen Osborne was cheered to the rafters by 80,000 people. George Osborne just got booed by 80,000 people as he presented some medals. Brits eh!?

Stephen told me the largest crowd he's previously competed infront of was about 50 people.

7.35pm - The very charming Stephen Osborne said he is 'disapponted' not to medal here, but admitted the enormity of the reception he received might have got to him a little bit.

It was genuinely incredible to hear - possibly the loudest reception I've heard here for anyone, Bolt, Gemili, Ennis, anyone.

The announcer made a point of saying it was his first Games at the age of 49 and the place just went bonkers.

However Osborne said afterwards 'I've only been doing this a year. I'll be back for Rio.'

7.12pm - It's fifth for Osborne in 23.40... the Finn in the lane next to him just flew away to claim gold.

7.10pm - Absolute amazing reception for Osborne who looks pretty much like he can't believe his ears.

6pm - I'm back at the OS after an afternoon of frantic newspaper writing, sorry about that, but it is my job!

You may remember from this morning that we're here to see Stephen Osborne, a wheelchair sprinter from Longfield near Gravesend, go in the T51 100m Final.

Race is due off at 7.10pm and promises to be spectacular with the four fastest competitors this season - including Osborne - separated by just a second in season's best times.

3.10pm - Looks like GB sitting volleyball will face World No1 Iran or No2 Bosnia in the quarter-finals on Wednesday, so long as we avoid the Morocco shock I mentioned earlier.

1.55pm - Ross Wilson is a great lad. He's just been on twitter apologising for not winning the medal, but he should hold his head up high.

He'll be back, along with Will Bayley for the quarter-finals of the Class 6-8 Team competition on Thursday morning.

1.03pm - Wilson had a set point at 10-8 but couldn't close it out and Andersson takes it 12-10 to claim bronze.

12.54pm - Could so easily have been 1-1 but it's Andersson who takes the second 11-9. Momentum changing every few points, very strange game to watch.

Wilson looked good at 9-9 having won the previous two but the Swede held firm.

12.47pm - The opening set swings one way and another but Andersson takes it 11-8, having led 2-0, trailed 5-2 and then led 10-5.

12.42pm - The players are out and Wilson gets a huge home welcome. The players are warming up.

Andersson is ranked No2 in the World and is European Champion, he overcame a certain 17-year-old from the Isle of Sheppey to do so!

12.35pm - Slight delay to Ross Wilson's match as GB's Paul Davies has just secured a bronze in a dramatic fifth set decider.

What is has done though is pump this crowd right up. Not long until Ross is introduced now though.

12.07pm - Straight sets win for Germany, closing it out 25-14.

The only way GB will not go through to the last eight is if Morocco (who lost 3-0 to GB) beat Russia (who beat GB 3-0) in the final game.

Now that really would be the shock of the Games.

The only way that GB are NOT in the QF is if Morocco (who GB beat 3-0) beat Russia (who beat GB 3-0) tomorrow. Now THAT would be a shock!

11.50am - Germany lead by two sets to nil after coming through 25-16.

GB are well in it though. One set might make it VERY interesting.

11.25am - GB have dropped the opening set of the sitting volleyball 25-19 against the Germans but are battling away for every point.

They are almost certainly through to the last eight, even if they lose today though.

9.25am - ALERT ALERT ALERT - Stephen Osborne is through to the Paralympic final.

The line up for this morning's first round of the T51 event - scheduled to be the first race of the day - has had to be reshuffled.

Athlete withdrawals mean that with only eight remaining, Osborne is now straight through to the final, which will be at 7.10pm tonight.

Glad they told me in advance!

I haven't told you that Osborne, a wheelchair sprinter from Longfield, is appearing in his first games and is 49-years-old.

He is bang in the mix for medal contention, with the third-fastest time in the field this season and just a second separating the fastest four sprinters.

There have been 34 World Records in the past three days in the Stadium - just thought I'd share that. Staggering figure.

8am - Feels good to write that again.

Morning, yes I'm at the OS this morning to see if Stephen Osborne of Longfield near Gravesend can make it through to the T51 100m final which is back here tonight.

The first round is at 10am - just an hour before GB's sitting volleyball men - complete with Folkestone's Netra Rana, Dover-born Charlie Walker and Beckenham-raised Richard Dobell - will be in action back at ExCeL.

They take on Germany in their final group game, though their place in the quarter-finals is all-but guaranteed, nomatter the result, after yesterday's historic win over Morocco.

I'm also looking forward to seeing Ross Wilson play for a bronze in the Class 8 table tennis singles at 12.30pm.

The 17-year-old from Sheppey faces his old foe Emil Andersson of Sweden at the other end of ExCeL.

If his previous games have been anything to go by, it promises to be a cracker.
