The M20 coastbound carriageway has now been cleared after a lorry carrying animal feed caught alight.

Motorists were being diverted past the scene of the blaze under a bridge on the coastbound carriageway at junction 12.

Traffic was stopped as firefighters tackled the fire, which broke out at about 12.45pm.

A diversion was put into place over the bridge on the coastbound carriageway at junction 12.

The lorry driver was treated by an ambulance crew for breathing in smoke.
