A COLLISION between a lorry and another vehicle brought motorway traffic to a standstill this morning.

The accident took place at around 6.50am near junction 4 of the M20 at Leybourne.

Police closed the London-bound carriageway while the Daewoo and foreign registered HGV were cleared from the road.

The road was not re-opened until 7.40am, causing massive tailbacks and delays.

Both drivers involved in the accident are understood to have escaped serious injury.
