The bank holiday weekend has started with a £1,000 win for one lucky kmfm listener.

Goodness Iheukwumere, from Rochester, entered the Kent radio station's monthly £1,000 Friday competition earlier today.

Following thousands of text and online entries, one listener is chosen at random and given a surprise phone call.

Rob Wills, kmfm presenter, made the call to Goodness during Drivetime at 6pm.

The delighted winner said she was about to move house and the money would help to pay for that and other house-related goods.

She said: "I've never been this lucky, I just wanted to give it a go."
