A kmfm listener has bagged a grand after entering the radio station's £1,000 Friday monthly cash prize competition.

Michaela Simons from Folkestone quickly answered the phone to radio presenter Rob Wills who was bearing the news of her win.

Michaela entered the competition for the first time after hearing it was running again.

"I listen to kmfm a lot and I heard you were playing again so I thought I'd enter," she said after Rob told her she had just become the September winner.

The mother says she will be putting the money towards her family holiday to Lanzarote next year.

'£1,000 Friday' sees Kent listeners enter via text or online to be in with a chance to win from Thursday 6pm through to Friday at the same time.
