Kmfm has made the weekend of a lucky listener in Kent by giving them £1,000 cash.

Daniella O'Brien from Godmersham won their competition, 'Thousand Pound Friday' just for sending in a text message to the radio station today.

All day listeners have been entering with the promise that one would be chosen at random and not only would they win the cash, but it would be delivered to them, tonight (Friday) just in time for the weekend.

kmfm presenter Rob Wills who made the surprise call to Daniella said, "I love it when we do Thousand Pound Friday.

The randomly chosen winners have no idea we are about to make the call to them, and the surprise in their voice makes it all worth it."

Daniella says she is probably going to treat her boyfriend this weekend with the money.

kmfm will do Thousand Pound Friday again in October.
