Luke Rooney looks set to continue his Gills career for the time being after a proposed move to Swindon stalled.

He came off the bench at Shrewsbury and will remain at Andy Hessenthaler’s disposal until the manager hears otherwise.

"He is our player at the moment and the chairman has been dealing with the situation," Hessenthaler said.

"I am just focusing on the players in the squad."
