Maidstone are waiting on the result of a Monday afternoon pitch inspection to decide if their FA Trophy clash with Blue Square Premier side Histon can go ahead on Tuesday night.
The first round tie at Ashford Town's Homelands ground has been postponed six times because of bad weather and unplayable surfaces since it was originally scheduled at the start of December.
The FA has insisted the game must be played this week and should the pitch not be ready for Tuesday night's fixture, then Maidstone will forfeit home advantage and the tie will revert to Histon's Glass World Stadium the following night.
An FA representative will inspect the pitch at 4.30pm and in the absence of any further bad weather forecast, the game will go ahead as planned tomorrow night.
Stones joint-boss Alan Walker said: "We are desperate to get the game on and we don't want to give up home advantage. Hopefully it will pass the inspection and then so long as there is no more bad weather the game should go ahead."
The winners of the tie face a trip to Salisbury in the second round, with a third round match against Cambridge United or Eastbourne Borough to follow for the winners.
