VAUXHALL'S revamped Corsa, which can be ordered now, has been given a facelift with the addition of new engines, more technical features and two new models called the Corsa Design and Corsa Life.
From the outside the new Corsa can be recognised by its modified front and new chrome grille, larger clear glass headlamps and new colour-keyed bumpers which feature plastic inserts for protection in light collisions. On the inside are new upholstery materials and colours.
Six models make up the new range and will cover the needs of every Corsa customer with on-the-road prices ranging from £6,995 for the three-door Expression 1.0 12v, to £12,870 for the five-door SRi 1.7 CDTi.
Some of the changes are under the skin. Vauxhall engineers have made modifications to Corsas speed-dependent electric power steering, which now has greater steering precision for sharper, more agile handling, and two significant safety features are now standard on all models except the Expression - ABS and Emergency Brake Assist.
Perhaps the biggest news is reserved for the engines: four new engines in all including two petrol units with TWINPORT technology, a 1.0 12v and 1.4 16v and two new common-rail diesels, the 1.3 CDTi and 1.7 CDTi.
