A PENSIONER with 750 previous convictions has been slapped with Kent's first county-wide five-year Anti-Social Behaviour Order (ASBO).
Alexander Duncan, 67, of no address, was given the ASBO by Maidstone magistrates following a catalogue of drink-related offences and unacceptable behaviour that were deemed to be threatening the quality of life of residents in Kent.
He was also sentenced to a total of 63 days imprisonment for offences under the Public Order Act, as well as being drunk and disorderly and for breach of bail at the time the order was imposed.
The court found that Duncan was involved in frequent and persistent acts of anti-social behaviour, including stealing from shops, verbal abuse, threatening and violent behaviour, drunkenness and disorderly behaviour.
Duncan's ASBO prohibits him from being drunk or from consuming alcohol in any public place within the county and from acting in a threatening, abusive or intimidating manner towards any person in England and Wales.
The order is valid until April 30, 2012 and any breach could land him in jail for up to five years.
