An 84-year-old man has been rescued by firefighters after a bungalow blaze early today.

Fire crews were called to the property in Sundridge, near Sevenoaks, at just after 3.30am.

Around 15 firefighters spent more than three hours tackling the flames in Chapmans Road.

The elderly man had to be treated after breathing in smoke.

The cause of the blaze is not yet known. A second bungalow was smoke-logged.
