A man used the internet to pose as a horse racing mogul and commit fraud offences worth more than £5 million, a court heard.
Michael Baker, 28, from Pilgrims Way in Hollingbourne, today pleaded guilty to five fraud offences involving race horses and one fraud offence involving fraudulent trading at Maidstone Crown Court.
He has pleaded guilty to a total of six offences and asked for a further three offences to be taken into consideration.
Four offences of false representation regarding the purchase of race horses involved over £5m. A fifth offence of dishonestly obtaining property also involved the purchase of a race horse to the value of £45k.
The sixth offence Baker has pleaded guilty to is regarding fraudulent trading.
Baker has been bailed and will return to the court on July 17 for sentencing.
