ARMED police today stormed a house and arrested a man after someone was seen wielding a gun at a window at Snodland, near Rochester.

Police officers entered the home in Tom Joyce Close late this morning following a three-hour stand-off.

Earlier people living in the road had been urged to stay indoors while the armed incident took place. Police blocked off all access roads to the close.

The man was arrested for criminal damage and possible firearms offences. He was later helping police with their inquiries.
