A man has been arrested after a woman was raped in Folkestone.

Police are investigating the attack which is said to have occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Officers were called to Harbour Way at around 3am.

A 26-year-old man from the town was arrested in connection with the incident.

He has been released on bail while enquiries continue to establish the circumstances of the report.
