A man suffered serious injuries after a Porsche and a transit van collided near Ashford yesterday afternoon.

The 63-year-old driver of the Porsche 911 Carrera was taken to a London hospital by air ambulance - his condition is said to be stable.

The driver of the transit suffered minor injuries.

The A252 in Chilham was closed for four hours following the crash at 4.20pm, and witnesses are being urged to contact the police.
