KENT Police have appealed for information after a man was left in a critical condition following an assault.

The victim, in his 30s, suffered severe head injuries after a disturbance behind the Original Best Kebab House in the Luton area of Chatham, just off Bank Street.

A police spokesman said the incident occurred at around 10.10pm on Saturday. The victim lives in the Medway area. He was taken to Gillingham's Medway Maritime Hospital.
