A MAN is fighting for his life in hospital after he was found unconscious in a pub car park.

He was injured in what police described as a disturbance involving several people at The Bird In Hand pub in Heath Road at Coxheath, near Maidstone.

The 42-year-old is believed to have been taken to Maidstone Hospital and is reported to be in a critical condition.

The pub's landlady was not prepared to talk about the incident which happened on Saturday evening.
