A KENT family has been devastated by a freak incident in which a bus driver was killed at work.

Michael Hallinan, 54, of Kingswood Avenue, Swanley, near Dartford, died after he was crushed between two Bendy buses.

The accident happened in Greenwich High Road at about 6am on Wednesday. Mr Hallinan was taken by ambulance to Lewisham Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Later a 62-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and taken to Plumstead police station for questioning.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
