A man accused of downloading and distributing internet child porn has appeared in court.

Kevin Knowles, 50, of Florence Street, Rochester, denied four offences of possessing indecent photographs of children between May 2006 and January 2007.

He also pleaded not guilty to four offences of distributing indecent photographs of children on May 5 and May 11 2006.

Maidstone Crown Court heard the images ranged between levels one and four. The scale ranges between one and five, with five being the most serious.

Knowles was released on bail by Judge James O’Mahony until a further hearing on June 9.
