A man has died after a crash between two cars near Bedgebury School.

A Vauxhall Corsa and a Volvo were involved in the crash on the B2079 Bedgebury Road, Goudhurst at around 8am Friday.

The man driving the Corsa suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed.

The male driver of the Volvo was taken to hospital with less serious injuries.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service helped release the drivers from the cars.

The road is closed while emergency services deal with the incident.

No further information about the deceased has yet been released.
