A 34-year-old man appeared before a court today charged with a number of sex offences involving children.

It is alleged the offences happened in the Dartford, Swale and the Medway Towns from the end of 2003.

Tristan Driver, of Spring Vale North, Dartford, made a two-minute appearance this morning before magistrates at Sittingbourne.

He was arrested at Sittingbourne Police Station yesterday.

Driver has been charged with:

*Two counts of rape.

* Sexual activity with a child

* Arranging or facilitating commission of a child sex offence

* Three counts of causing a child to watch a sexual act

* Three counts of causing a child to engage in sexual activity

* Causing/inciting a child (13 to 17 years) to prostitution/pornography

* Four counts of making indecent images of children

* Arranging/facilitating the commission of a child sex offence

* Causing/inciting a child under 13 to prostitution/pornography

There was no application for bail. Driver was remanded in custody until February 17 for a preliminary hearing at crown court.
