A man has been found dead in his tent at a music festival.

Police have said the death at the Small World Summer Gathering in Headcorn near Maidstone is not being treated as suspicious.

The man, who has not been named by police, is thought to be in his 40s. His body was discovered just after midday on Thursday, August 29.

A post-mortem examination is due to take place later this week to determine the cause of death.

A spokesman for Kent Police said the incident is being treated as a “tragic death”.
