A 39-year-old man has been found dead on the side of the road at Hoath Way at Gillingham.

Medway Police could not say how the man had died but said his death was not being treated as suspicious.

Police closed off part of the road, which forms the A278 link road from the M2 motorway to Watling Street, following the discovery at about 6.30am on Thursday.

The man’s next of kin have been informed but his identity has not been made public.
