A man was found dead in public toilets at the weekend.

Police were called to the block in Canterbury Road opposite Margate train station at 1.50pm on Saturday afternoon where the body of a 20-year-old man from Herne Bay had been found.

A postmortem is due to take place this week and an inquest opened.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.

A 28-year-old man from Herne Bay was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of the possession and concerned in the supply of drugs.

He was bailed and is due back at Margate Police Station on August 16.
