THE body of a man was found in a parked car this morning with a shotgun beside him.

Police were called shortly after 7.30am to the incident at East Malling Village Hall in New Road, East Malling, near Maidstone.

The 53-year-old man is understood to be married and from the Maidstone area. Members of his family have been informed. He has not yet been named.
