A man who was found unconscious on the pavement a week ago has died.

The 33-year-old man, named locally as David, was found by a concerned passer-by in the early hours of May 31.

It sparked a police investigation which closed the A226 West Hill in Dartford for more than six hours between Highfield Road and Priory Hill.

An ambulance spokesman said that the man had suffered a heart attack.

At the time DI Ivan Beasley said: "Our investigation into the incident has not found anything untoward or suspicious."
