A Medway man suffered serious chest and head injuries after being gored by a bull in a field in Hoo.

The 62-year-old man, who has not been named, was injured after the bull attacked him in the field at a farm on the Hoo Peninsula on June 5.

He was airlifted to a London hospital at around 8.45am, about 15 minutes after the land ambulance arrived and called them in.

It was suspected he had punctured lungs and doctos on-board performed a bilateral thoracotomy - a procedure where the chest cavity is surgically opened to help with breathing via tubes.

A spokesman for the Kent Air Ambulance, said: “I can confirm the man is still in hospital recovering from injuries to his chest.”
