RUSH-HOUR traffic snarled up on the M20 early today following a five-car accident on the London-bound carriageway at Leybourne, near West Malling.

One man was taken to Maidstone Hospital with shoulder injuries. The accident happened shortly before 7am.

The road was cleared by 7.30am but traffic tailed back to Penenden Heath for the following few hours.
