AN INVESTIGATION is underway after a man was racially abused and punched outside a Kent pub.
The 32-year-old Afro-Caribbean victim was walking to work when a group of men approached him. Some of the gang shouted racist abuse at him before he was attacked by two of them.
The man suffered injuries to his face but did not require hospital treatment.
One of the offenders is described as being white, aged around 40, about 6ft tall and of stocky build. He had a shaved head and wore a dark T-shirt and blue jeans.
The other man is thought to be aged between 17 and 19, of slim build and around 5ft 10in tall and with short black spikey hair. He wore a navy shirt and blue jeans.
Det Const Simon Hollingsworth said: "Nobody should be subjected to this kind of behaviour and we are keen to identify the people responsible for this assault."
