POLICE have arrested a 35-year-old man from Maidstone in connection with the theft of a cash machine from a bank in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The incident happened at 2.30am in High Street, Borough Green, near Maidstone, and it appears a digger was used to steal the cash point from the NatWest bank there.

It is not yet known how much money was taken.
