THE body of man found in a burnt out car last month has been officially identified as 42-year-old Nachhater Punni.

Mr Punni’s body was discovered outside his house in Beaumont Drive, Northfleet, on Sunday, August 13, shortly before police discovered his 38-year-old beautician wife, Sanambir, murdered inside the family home.

At the time police revealed they believed the two deaths to be linked and were not looking for any one else in connection with the incident.

Mr Punni’s body was so badly burned DNA evidence was required before a formal identification could take place. The inquest into his death was opened on Friday.
