Man in train tragedy is named

A MAN who died in front of early morning passengers at a railway station has been named by police.

He was Raymond Fryatt, who lived at Chislehurst. The 71-year-old was confirmed dead at the scene after being struck by the train at Beckenham Junction station, at about 6.20am on Tuesday, September 12.

An inquest has been opened and adjourned at Croydon.

Officers from British Transport Police were at the scene within minutes of the tragedy. The incident caused major disruption to rush-hour traffic.
