A MAN died early today when he was involved in a collision with an Audi car in Eastern Esplanade at Cliftonville, near Margate.

Police said the driver of the Audi was not hurt but was badly shaken.

The tragedy happened shortly after 1am. Police closed the road between Dalby Square and Edgar Road for some five hours.

The man who died was a pedestrian, thought to be in his 20s. He has not yet been formally identified.
