The boyfriend of a young mum killed in a road crash has been sentenced to 15 months in prison for causing her death.
Martin Crealock, 22, of Rochester Avenue, Rochester, appeared at Maidstone Crown Court charged with causing the death of Rebecca Arnold while over the drink-drive limit.
The couple had a daughter, Ellese, aged three at the time of the crash.
Crealock, who had pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing, was driving a Renault van along a 50mph stretch of the A229 Chatham Road, Blue Bell Hill, on November 11 last year when the accident happened.
Sentencing Crealock on Friday, Judge Philip Statman said: "You had been drinking and you made a choice to get behind the wheel. The consequences have been utterly devastating."
