Man plunges from railway bridge

A 27-year-old man fell about 30ft from a railway bridge.

Pedestrians alerted the emergency services after hearing the man cry for help at Chislehurst Road, Petts Wood.

Rescue teams from Orpington, Bexley and Sidcup were called to the scene at around 1am on Monday.

The man was taken to Royal London hospital after suffering serious injuries to his leg and possible spinal injuries.

Police say there are no suspicious circumstances.
