Man punched and robbed as he left pub

A MAN enjoying a drink in a public house was punched in the face and robbed of his cash as he left to make his way home

The 22-year-old had been visiting the Command House, Dock Road, Chatham, when the robbery happened.

As he was leaving the pub, he was attacked and his money, believed to be around £200, was stolen.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident, or been in the pub at the time, to contact them. It happened between 10pm and 11pm on Monday, August 14.

It is believed that three men of Asian appearance, were involved in the incident.

Det Con Robin Stump said: "The victim suffered painful facial injuries as a result of this robbery.

"We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or may have seen anything suspicious in the Dock Road area at around the time of robbery."
