KENT Police have launched an investigation after the body of a 40-year-old woman was discovered at a flat.

The body was found at in Invicta House, Cliftonville, near Margate. Detectives have confirmed that they are treating the death as suspicious.

Police were called to the flat at around 11.30am on Saturday.

A 42-year-old Margate man has been arrested in Dover in connection with the death. He is at Thanet Police Station assisting officers with their enquiries.
