A man has been released after being questioned in connection with an incident in which a cat was swung by its tail.

Mowgli was thrown around more than 14 times in Ramsgate.

The incident horrified the nation when it was captured on CCTV - images which were broadcast on national news programmes.

A 20-year-old Ramsgate man went to Margate police station on Friday morning. He was questioned by officers from the RSPCA.

Despite the traumatic experience, Mowgli is said to be safe and sound, although extremely shaken by the incident.
