A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the alleged sexual assault of an 18-year-old woman.

The suspect was arrested at the weekend by Thanet Police and has been bailed until March 25 pending a decision to prosecute.

The attack is said to have happened in Ellington Park at Ramsgate in the early hours of Sunday, January 29.

It was reported to police at 3.28am that morning and officers sealed off the park while a forensic team searched the scene.
