Man remanded on rape charge

A MAN was today remanded in custody charged with the rape of a 16-year-old girl at Margate in the early hours of last Saturday. David Curtis, 19, of Auckland Avenue, Ramsgate, appeared before Thanet magistrates at Margate.

He has been remanded to the crown court. A date and time of the hearing has yet to be fixed.
