A MAN charged with kidnap and false imprisonment has been remanded in custody.

Dean Rice, 44, a company director from Swanley, appeared before magistrates on Saturday and will reappear at Crown Court on April 7.

The charges relate to a police investigation launched on March 15 after a man claimed he had escaped from disused premises in Shadoxhurst, near Ashford, after being abducted outside of the county.
