A 35-year-old man has appeared in court charged with firearms offences after a shooting at a pub in a Kent town on Friday.

Terry Harman, who rents a room at the White Lion pub in High Street, Cheriton, near Folkestone, is accused of possessing a shotgun and ammunition, as well as ecstasy and cannabis.

It follows the shooting of 18-year-old Liam Burns in the leg at the White Lion.

Mr Harman was remanded in custody until Friday, May 26 when he is due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court.
