Man stabbed outside pub

A YOUNG man was today recovering at the Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham after being stabbed outside a village pub. Clayton Goodhew, 23, was attacked outside the Nag's Head at Lower Stoke just after 9.30pm on Saturday.

On Sunday Mr Goodhew underwent emergency surgery to abdominal injuries. He had been seen arguing with another man in the pub before the attack and it is thought the other man went home to get a knife before returning to stab Mr Goodhew.

Police cordoned off the road and diverted traffic round the village as the investigation into the incident began.
