A MAN in his 60s has died after being in collision with a car at Westgate, near Margate.

Police say the accident happened on the dual carriageway Canterbury Road that links Margate with Birchington at about 5.20pm last night.

The victim was treated at the scene by an ambulance crew but died later at the Queen Mother Hospital, Margate.

The man’s identity has not yet been released by police who are making further inquiries.
