Gillingham boss Mark Stimson believes he’s now assembled a strike-force capable of saving the club from relegation.
Leading scorer Simeon Jackson, pictured, came off the bench to end a 10-game winless run for the Gills against Bristol Rovers on Saturday – and bag their first goal in almost eight hours of football.
Stimson ended the game with a four-pronged attack of Jackson, new loan signing Chris Dickson and wide-men Dennis Oli and Andy Barcham. He also has Rene Howe and James Walker at his disposal in a squad awash with attacking talent.
The Gills boss said: "We need to attack teams because we’ve got some fantastic attacking players. We just have to get the ball to them as much as we can and let them express themselves in the right areas.
"We brought Chris Dickson, Rene Howe and James Walker to the club to get us goals because goals win football matches. It was Jackson on Saturday but they played a part. Now we are sitting 16th and hopefully we can build on it.
"They’ve all got pace and they’ve got their own individual bit of quality."
