This is the terrifying moment a devil-may-care driver risked his life at a level crossing.

Caught on camera skipping a red light, the maniac forced way over - despite being just yards from a train.

It is just one of a series of snaps taken by CCTV at the Isle of Grain crossing.

Pictures of the culprits in action were released today by British Transport Police.

It is hoped they will highlight the dangers of level crossings.
