POLICE are investigating after the body of a man was found at the bottom of the cliff beneath the Lido at Cliftonville, near Margate.

The man is believed to be in his 40s and from the Sandwich area.

The body was discovered at about 6.30am on Sunday.

The death is not being treated as suspicious. Police are tracing the next of kin and Thanet coroner Rebecca Cobb has been informed. An inquest will be held.
