THE body of a man has been found hanging from a tree in a back garden near railway lines.

The man, who was in his late 60s, was discovered in a garden in The Street, Bearsted, near Mazidstone, at around 6.15pm on Monday.

British Transport Police, who are investigating, said the death was not being treated as suspicious.

The name of the man has not yet been released.
