Three points against Walsall on Saturday will further bury the memories of Accrington, according to Gills boss Mark Stimson.

Defeat saw Gillingham miss out on a home FA Cup fourth round match with Fulham but since then they have earned points against Colchester and Hartlepool.

"We’ve got a great chance of getting three points and that would finish off a nice turnaround from Accrington," said Stimson.

"Walsall have got a couple of decent players but it’s about us and it’s always about us, especially when it’s against teams who I think we’ve got the chance of beating.

"It would be great to have three points at the weekend, especially with a free week afterwards as well.

"The only way we will get it is by working hard, having that little rub of the green and, fingers crossed, that’s what we’ll do."

Danny Jackman (shoulder) could return to the squad, while Simon Royce (knee) will be pushing to reclaim his No.1 spot. Curtis Weston (hip) and Josh Gowling (groin) should also be fit.
